The Kinsmen Club of Kelowna was chartered on April 13, 1944 by District 5 Governor Cecil Alton and was sponsored by the Kinsmen Clubs of Vernon and Kamloops. It was the 15th club in District 5 (BC and Yukon) and the 102nd club in the Association. The club has since co-sponsored the Kinsmen Clubs of Summerland & Princeton and sponsored the Kinsmen Clubs of Rutland (in 1969) and Westbank (in 1979).

Kin members: Throughout it’s 50-year history the Kelowna Club has also contributed greatly in the development of young men to take their places as successful members in all facets of life. Because of their training in Kinsmen they have been of added value to other organizations over their lives as well. The Kelowna club’s past has been very colourful and that is solely due to its members old and new. These fine men shall be remembered in our history capsule from its beginnings in 1944 to the current day….
